In September of "09" Cliff and I spent a month in Addis. We set up a "Vocational Training Center, where we purchased 5 sewing machines, fabric and supplies, and trained some of the older orphans as well as some of the workers, to sew. We also purchased woodworking tools and lumber for the older students to learn some woodworking skills. We found these processes do not work in a timely manner as they do here in the US. But God's Timing is perfect and it is HIS work we are ultimately doing. Through the generosity of so many, we were able to purchase new basketball shoes for 8 of the college students, enableing them to play basketball in the gym. The young men were very happy to have good shoes. Thank you so much for your generosity. We took 7 large bags of clothes, shoes, books, toiletries and toys to the 180+ children at Hanna's Orphan Home. Each child received a gift and were overjoyed to receive them. Cliff and I were able to spend some great time with our sponsored Daughter, Workelem at the orphanage. She is now in College. Higher Education 4 Ethiopia's Orphans was able to deliver one very good used computer to Eskedar and is now providing her with a scholarship that includes her tuition, books and supplies. She is in her 3rd year of a 4 year program. Higher Education 4 Ethiopia's Orphans also is sponsoring Tsegaye, a young man enrolled in the "Medical Training Hospital" as a lab tech. We have been so honored to be the ones who are able to deliver the many donated items from all of you. Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.
